I Can be

2018 JUN.
Group exhibition at Ebis point gallery

Just as hair becomes "disgusting" when it leaves the body, food is no longer "food" the moment it touches the ground and is treated as "dirty". When a thing leaves the place where it should be, people reject its existence. I think it's very strange.

If it could free itself from that label. They could be anything. So I thought about what food can be transformed into when it is no longer treated as food.

Graphic design exhibition

2018

This is a poster for the final display of my graphic design class. In this class, we learned about the basics of sentence construction, line spacing and character spacing. To illustrate what I have learned in this class, I have used the dots and numbers below to show where I have made adjustments in the titles and information above.

C8H10N4O2

2019.Nov

C8H10N4O2 is a pop-up café themed on a laboratory created at the Musashino Art University Art Festival. The meaning is caffeine. We sold drinks that mainly contained caffeine, like coffee, tea and energy drinks etc. This year, the consumption of alcohol was banned. Therefore, many people thought that the festival would not be as exciting as it should be. So we decided to sell caffeine instead of alcohol. It was an attempt to liven up the festival by taking in caffeine.

The logo represents how the drink goes down your throat and the effect of caffeine seeps into your body.

Eco not Ego

Graduation show 2019
Manami Taniuchi

material :
Agar,glycerol

It will be important to make things with thinking about it is end. This is one of the movement that really thinks about the environment.

Nothing exists without ending. Clothes, houses ,event, food, and even people. All things come to an end one day in various ways. In an age of overflowing goods, thinking about the end of things, rather than just worrying about short-term things like manufacturing efficiency and sales, will give people a sense of responsibility for the creation of things and gradually improve the waste problem that is now becoming more serious. Eco not ego is a disposable dish and glass, and the small vase made by agar, glycerol, water, herb, and spice for color. Anyone can make them easily with materials from supermarkets and drugstores and produce them in the kitchen. They are edible and could be returned to nature even if I throw them into the sea or leave them on the sand. No detergent needed. It is important to deal with environmental issues in everyday life. So with Eco not ego, I expanded them as an open-source recipe in order to reach out as many as possible instead of selling them as a ready-made product. The recipe is on the back of the receipt. People keep receipts in a wallet or thrown away immediately and never used again. I tried to make everything related to this product recyclable. These products would provide a new event which is like cook lunches and dishes together for a picnic day. For coloring, I used herbs and spices which help to have a pleasant smell and a flavor of the dishes. Choosing the flavor for dishes would be interesting too.
